Hellooooo....elllooooo....ello...llo

Hi y'all! WOW what a crazy mad world my life has been these past few weeks. A little personal to talk about, but FINALLY starting to come back to earth! =D I am waaaay behind on EVERYTHING and am working hard to catch up. If you have sent me notes on Girlsense or messages on Polyvore, please be patient my friends, I WILL respond, I promise!

GUPS is starting back up and this go around I am going to try and be a CONTESTANT! *gulp* I am a little nervous as there are some AMAZING Polyvore designers who will be entering! I shall do my best. Follow it all here and over at Girls United. Check out my POLYVORE PROFILE here and cheer me on! I'll post here as soon as the first challenge is up! Wish me luck!

I want to say a quick thank you to all my online friends who have offered their support and encouragement in this crazy time in my life. Things are coming around and life is getting a little easier. I am SO GRATEFUL to everyone who reads and follows, it makes it all worth it!

I will miss you all...

I will not be on Girlsense or the forum much in the coming week or so. My mother-in-law, who lives in a very small town, will be coming to stay with us while she receives some MUCH needed care. Since transporting her back and forth (4 hours each way) is completely out of the question, I will be her round the clock nurse. I know you all understand and I will update how things are going. You all are so awesome and I can't even begin to tell you how much all your sweet comments mean to me. VERY appreciated and taken to heart! I will miss you all! =D

When I get "back", I PROMISE to update the Fashion and Outfit of the Week, so keep creating your wonderful works of art!

I know it's been 4eva!!

LOL I haven't wanted to post cuz it would push down my poll and hair tutorial and I want people who aren't familiar with how to navigate blogs, to be able to find them, but I will post soon and I'm fixing to update the Outfit and Fashion of the week, and I think I might add a Boutique of the Week feature...I'm on the hunt! LOL

Oh My Feature!

I put up a poll on Girlsense, to ask the users what is the ONE feature they would want to see on Girlsense first??



I must confess that I want ALL of that! LOL but realistically, if Girlsense could only do one or even two if we're nice, which ones would I want? Well I desperately want to be able to price fashions for a specific user. There are girls from around the WORLD and it's sometimes near impossible to price something and hope that others don't buy it first =D....having said that, I think I would appreciate a Save for Later feature first and a clone tool second. Sometimes it takes a very very very long time for me to make something, and being able to save and come back, would make it all the more sweeter! Also the clone tool!! Sometimes you need to move a deco that you have already placed, well now you have lost your shape, your rotation, your color, everything on that deco style and now you have to try and replicate it! FRUSTRATING to say the least! xD

Girlsense is constantly updating and all the new and past stuff we have is just GREAT! I can't tell you how much I love the new FDS compared...the possibilites are endless if you let them be! ;o) But wouldn't these features be the icing? I think so!

On a side note, there is one other feature that I left off the poll as I thought these above were more important. Girlsense introduced the Outfits feature! BRILLIANT! Just one more creative outlet, but how about if we could PRICE that outfit as ONE. In other words, I make an outfit, (dress, shoes, purse, hair, etc.) and I wanna price the whole group for 500 gcents....then a buyer can come along and get the outfit as one! :D It's so sad to see a beautifully created outfit split up between buyers! :( Pricing OUTFITS, would fix this, but so would being able to price for a specific user! ;o) (hint hint Girlsense)

So tell me what you think? Let's vote and let Girlsense know what we think! After all we are the ones that play, right? :D

How'd you make that HAIR?!?

LOL I get this question A LOT, so I thought I would work up some screen shots and post them here. Hope it helps some of y'all out!

First take a dress or skirt (any will do as long as it covers the head with some to spare so you can cut away a shape. I usually cut out the face and bangs first (above), cuz it's easier for me, but you can start however you like. Then cut the basic shape of the hairstyle you want (below)


After you have the shape you want, carefully cut away all the dress/skirt so that all you are left with is the shape of your hairstyle! (below)


Now you can just select and delete the opacity cut and change the color as you like. The paint and stamp decos are used for textures and shading (below). Use the filters menu as well. The stencil and 3-D filters are GREAT for making hair textures. It takes practice, practice practice. Try different color combos, opacity levels and filters to experiment and see what YOU like! But these are the basics! =D
